Korean-born artist Nam June Paik (1932-2006) is often called the daddy of modern video art. Nam June Paik ais probably best known for his massive tower of 1,003 TV sets entitled The More the Better (1988) which dominates the entrance to the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Gwacheon just outside Seoul.
In 1973 the world premier took place of his Young Penis Sinfonie. The performance featured 10 young men appearing naked behind a white paper screen. They took it on turns push their erect penis through the paper towards the audience, a proccess he described as “the most complex of human activities.”
